DeVry has transfer guides or established agreements with local community colleges, two-year independent institutions, technical schools and other entities to assist you in identifying college credits you've earned that may transfer into a degree program, helping you save money and graduate sooner.

With years of experience working in your field, you may already know the subjects taught in some of our required classes. We think that knowledge should count toward your degree.

  • Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Program – Demonstrate that you have mastered the competencies of one or more specific DeVry courses by creating a portfolio for credit evaluation. 
  • Military Students – Military students may be eligible to transfer qualified military coursework and other post-secondary education credits toward your DeVry degree program. 
  • Professional Certifications and Training – Certain certifications such as Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and IT Professional (MCITP), and RHIT Certifications may qualify for credit. 
  • Proficiency Exams – Students may qualify for credit through our “DeVry Challenge” proficiency exams.

If you are a community college student currently pursuing your associate degree, you may be eligible to take a DeVry University course and earn college credit with no tuition, no fees, and all course materials included.
Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a current community college student in pursuit of an associate degree
  • Must have an interest in business and management, engineering and information sciences, media arts and technology, health sciences, or liberal arts and sciences
  • Must have a minimum CGPA of 2.50 from transferable college-level courses completed at a community college
  • Must meet DeVry’s admissions requirements

Once you have been accepted and all requirements have been met, you may enroll in a complimentary course* online or at one of our campus locations.
