Frequently asked questions

What is a business degree?

A business degree is an educational program, such as an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree, through which you can learn skills in management, critical thinking, analytics, finance, marketing, and other elements of business.

What can you do with a business degree?

A business degree can help you learn essential skills employers look for, such as management and decision-making. Many people earn a business degree because they want to develop their professional skill set, pivot to a new career track, or pursue more advanced roles in their current field.

How long does it take to get a business degree?

The amount of time it takes to earn a business degree depends on the program, your past experience, and your schedule. A certificate program, for example, might take less than 1 year, and a bachelor’s degree may take as little as 2 years and 8 months with an accelerated schedule, or in 4 years on a normal schedule.5

If you have qualifying transfer credits, it might shorten your timeline even more. Our Admissions team can help you find out what your options are.
