Fueled by the digital demand of today’s busy world, it’s no surprise that information technology is a growing field. In fact, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of Computer Support Specialists is expected to grow by 8% from 2019-2029.
Our new undergraduate certificate program in Information Technology Essentials is designed to prepare you with the core skills you need to contribute in an entry-level IT role. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of concepts across the field of IT and hands-on experience with the Internet of Things (IoT) as you prepare to jump start your IT career.
If you complete this program, you may also qualify to take advantage of the Tech Essentials Grant2. This grant provides qualifying students with $2,400 to apply towards the cost of your Information Technology Essentials certificate program upon successful completion of all required courses.

Cyber security is another rapidly growing tech field for those who are interested in working in a hands-on, ever-evolving environment. In fact, the BLS expects the employment of Information Security Analysts grow by a remarkable 31% from 2019-2029.
The field of cyber security is driven by the ongoing need to secure data in our increasingly digital world. But protecting businesses and individuals against data breaches is no simple task. Our undergraduate certificate program in Cyber Security will help you gain the core skills you need to create strategies necessary to secure networks, apply information assurance policies to mitigate risks and leverage your knowledge of ethical and legal issues to apply the appropriate security solutions.

3For the Associate in Business, budgeting and forecasting specialization, every course counts towards the Bachelor of Science in Technical Management-General Option, BSTM-accounting specialization, or the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting specialization. The ABUS-Healthcare Business track is not embedded in the bachelor’s degree in technical management with health information management specialty. Students may pursue other technical management specializations, such as health services management. For the associate in Business, healthcare business specialization, every course counts towards the Bachelor of Science in Technical Management-General Option.
