Eric J. Addeo, Ph.D.

Senior Professor Since 2002

Industry Experience: Engineering and Information Systems
Location: Greater New York City Area

A senior professor at DeVry University for 20+ years, Dr. Addeo, PhD, brings with him two decades of professional experience in the field of electrical engineering and computer science, held Executive Director positions at Panasonic and Bellcore, has 10 patents in the wireless communication field and has co-authored over 100 technical talks.

Michelle Bradford, Psy.D.

An organizational psychologist, Michelle works with students to ensure they have the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in most any professional situation.

Lisa Campbell, Ph.D., MPM, MHA, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, CPC-I, AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM/PCSTrainer

Professor of Health and Business Since 1997
  • Industry Experience: Medical Billing and Coding, Clinical Documentation, formerly a Physician’s Assistant
  • Location: Chicago, Illinois

An expert on clinical documentation in the healthcare industry, Lisa began her career as a physician’s assistant. She quickly realized her passion for the business side of the medical industry, and became heavily involved in medical billing and coding. She enjoys educating the future generation of health care professionals and working with physician practices to improve their clinical documentation.


Gina Cooper, Ph.D.

Professor Since 2001

Industry Experience: Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
Location: Columbus, Ohio

A professor at DeVry for close to two decades, Dr. Cooper, PhD, brings her expertise in the field of mechanical and industrial engineering as well as computer science and engineering with specializations of database, math, and bioinformatics. Since joining DeVry, her instructional area of focus is information systems.

Jeevan D’Souza, Ph.D.

Professor of Engineering and Information Systems Since 2006
  • Industry Experience: Information Technology 
  • Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York

D’Souza moved to the United States in 2001 to obtain a Master’s degree in electrical engineering. For his thesis, he built one of the first-generation fitness tracking devices with many of the same features commonly offered on such devices today. He’s always dreamed of being a professor, and is a member of many industry organizations such as the ASEE and IEEE. 



Michael Gooch, Ph.D.

Dr. Gooch, PhD, has been a professor at DeVry for 20+ years, and in addition to teaching has served as Dean of General Education, Associate Dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Acting Dean of Academic Affairs. Dr. Gooch teaches a wide variety of courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level in the areas of liberal arts and business.

Paul Kohara, MBA, CAPM

Paul Kohara has an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from San Francisco State University. He has been a full-time faculty member since 2002 and has also served in several managerial roles during this time. He teaches in the College of Business and Management.

Michael Komos, Ed.D.

Professor Since 2001

Dr. Komos, EdD, has been with DeVry University and Keller Graduate School of Management for close to two decades. He has been teaching full time since 2011, where he brings his expertise to courses such as human resource management, training and development, strategic staffing, leadership and organizational behavior, and the MBA capstone. Prior to his role as a senior professor and professor, Dr. Komos was the academic operations manager, associate dean of academic affairs, and assistant national dean at DeVry. He brings 25 plus years of human resource expertise from his previous company, Exelon Corporation.

Jude Lamour, Ph.D., CISSP, CISM, CCAI

Senior Professor Since 2003

Industry Experience: Information Systems Management, Network Forensics, Cyber Security
Location: New York, New York

Dr. Lamour, PhD, is an experienced Senior Professor skilled in network architecture, routing and switching, cloud computing, network security, e-learning, and instructional design. Lamour holds a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) ISACA certification, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification and is a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI).

Simon Obeid, Ph.D.

Professor and Faculty Chair Since 2012

Industry Experience: Networking Concepts, Circuit Design, and Management Information Systems
Location: Orlando, Florida

Simon Obeid, Ph.D., is a professor and National faculty chair at DeVry University, where he teaches courses in Tech core and management information systems. As a national faculty chair, he is responsible for managing and developing the faculty assigned to teach. Conducting program assessments and for development and maintaining curricula.

Michael Reitzel, Ph.D., J.D.

Professor of Business Since 2005
  • Industry Experience: General Management, Marketing, Engineering and Technology, International Business, Business Development
  • Location: Austin, Texas

In roles as Executive V.P., V.P. of Strategic Development, and Chief Strategy Officer, Dr. Reitzel brings 15+ years of business, leadership, and management expertise to his courses. He holds J.D. and Ph.D. degrees.


Genevieve Marie Isabelle Sapijaszko, Ph.D.

Professor Since 2000

Industry Experience: Electrical Engineering and Information Sciences

Dr. Sapijaszko, PhD, brings two decades of professional experience in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, computer programming, web development, networking, and physics. In addition to enhancing the student experience in the classroom, she has served as a mentor to FIRST robotics competitions, IEEExtreme competitions and MyWord (Women in STEM).

Shawn S. Smith, Ph.D.

Associate Professor Since 2018

Industry Experience:  Organization and Management, Information Technology Management, Online Teaching
Location: San Diego, California

Dr. Smith, PhD, brings over four decades of industry experience consulting with numerous firms across business, industry and government. His abilities span technology, management, leadership development and strategy.

Natalie Waksmanski-Krynski, Ph.D.

Professor Since 2017

Industry Experience:  Physics, Computer Programming, Electronics, Calculus, Algebra, and Statistics.
Location: Chicago, Illinois

Dr. Waksmanski is currently a Professor and Faculty Chair at DeVry University in the College of Engineering and Information Sciences where she teaches physics, computer programming, electronics, calculus, algebra, and statistics. Additionally, Dr. Waksmanski’s area of expertise in computational mechanics has been applied to multiple areas in STEAM where in addition to enhancing student experience in the classroom, she serves as a mentor to a FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team.
