Issam Abu-Ghallous, Ph.D.

Dr. Abu-Ghallous earned a BA in Business Administration from Bethlehem University in Palestine, an MBA from Lewis University in Romeoville, and a Ph.D. in International Development with emphasis on international economic development from the University of Southern Mississippi. With 10+ years of work experience in corporate accounting, finance, and financial systems development.

Eric J. Addeo, Ph.D.

Senior Professor Since 2002

Industry Experience: Engineering and Information Systems
Location: Greater New York City Area

A senior professor at DeVry University for 20+ years, Dr. Addeo, PhD, brings with him two decades of professional experience in the field of electrical engineering and computer science, held Executive Director positions at Panasonic and Bellcore, has 10 patents in the wireless communication field and has co-authored over 100 technical talks.

Michael Bird, Ph.D.

Dr. Bird has been with DeVry University for more than 15 years and earned his PhD from Capella University in Minneapolis. Prior to joining DeVry University, he had worked at Carnival Cruise Lines for 17 years as a systems configuration manager for Information Systems along with managing system development projects. His professional experiences also include many facets of Information Technology, business intelligence, project management, and recruitment of human resources. He had published eight books and is currently a managing editor for the DeVry Journal of Scholarly Research in addition to being a Senior Professor.

Bob Biswas, Ph.D.

Dr. Biswas, PhD is a Professor and Faculty Chair at DeVry University/Keller Graduate School of Management, where he teaches Finance, Accounting, Economics, Human Resource Management, and various other business courses, as well as the graduate and undergraduate Capstone courses. In addition, he has authored and co-authored many articles in Accounting and Finance applied to Human Resource Management.

Lisa Campbell, Ph.D., MPM, MHA

Dr. Lisa L Campbell is an expert level health care professional who began her career in 1992 as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Since then she has become a valuable resource for Clinical Documentation Improvement, Health Information Management, Health Care Management, Medical Coding, Revenue Cycle Management and Provider and Staff Training. This experience has allowed her to share her knowledge and industry best practices as a Professional Speaker and bring her skills to DeVry as a Professor. Additionally, Dr. Campbell holds the following professional certifications: RHIA, CDIP, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, CRC, CPMA

Gina Cooper, Ph.D.

Professor Since 2001

Industry Experience: Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
Location: Columbus, Ohio

A professor at DeVry for close to two decades, Dr. Cooper, PhD, brings her expertise in the field of mechanical and industrial engineering as well as computer science and engineering with specializations of database, math, and bioinformatics. Since joining DeVry, her instructional area of focus is information systems.

Carol Dietrich, Ph.D.

Senior Professor Since 1988

For 30+ years, Professor Carol E. Dietrich, PhD, has taught composition, literature, humanities, sociology, and ethics. She has published articles in scholarly books and journals, including College English, Mosaic: A Journal for the Interdisciplinary Study of Literature; Desires, Delights, and Dilemmas: Women and the Media; Encyclopedia of American Race Riots; Encyclopedia of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era and various other publications. Additionally, in 2019, Dr. Dietrich received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.

Jeevan D’Souza, Ph.D.

Professor of Engineering and Information Systems Since 2006

D’Souza moved to the United States in 2001 to obtain a Master’s degree in electrical engineering. For his thesis, he built one of the first-generation fitness tracking devices with many of the same features commonly offered on such devices today. He’s always dreamed of being a professor, and is a member of many industry organizations such as the ASEE and IEEE. 

 

 

Wendy Finlay, Ph.D.

Dr. Finlay, PhD, is an entrepreneur in international ocean transportation with experience in hospitality management, the food and beverage industry and the healthcare industry. She joined DeVry in 2010 teaching courses in global supply chain management, strategic planning and entrepreneurship.

Michael Gooch, Ph.D.

Dr. Gooch, PhD, has been a professor at DeVry for 20+ years, and in addition to teaching has served as Dean of General Education, Associate Dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Acting Dean of Academic Affairs. Dr. Gooch teaches a wide variety of courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level in the areas of liberal arts and business.

Paula Herring, Ed.D.

Paula C. Herring, EdD, is Faculty Chair and Professor at DeVry University, where she has taught and led faculty and students for 20 years. Her professional background is in education and international business in additional to numerous community leadership and service to non-profits. She teaches in the areas of business, leadership, marketing and critical thinking.

Henry Jordan, Ph.D.

Dr. Jordan is a life-long educator and Certified Management Consultant (CMC) specializing in student centered teaching for business, industry and higher education. Currently, Dr. Jordan has more than 25 years of teaching experience at DeVry University where he teaches both undergraduate and graduate students including five Study Abroad courses. In addition, since 1979 he has conducted professional seminars and workshops throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.

Paul Kohara, MBA, CAPM

Professor of Business Since 2002

Paul Kohara has an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from San Francisco State University. He has been a full-time faculty member since 2002 and has also served in several managerial roles during this time. He teaches in the College of Business and Management.

Michael Komos, Ed.D.

Dr. Komos, EdD, has been with DeVry University and Keller Graduate School of Management for close to two decades. He has been teaching full time since 2011, where he brings his expertise to courses such as human resource management, training and development, strategic staffing, leadership and organizational behavior, and the MBA capstone. Prior to his role as a senior professor and professor, Dr. Komos was the academic operations manager, associate dean of academic affairs, and assistant national dean at DeVry. He brings 25 plus years of human resource expertise from his previous company, Exelon Corporation.

Jude Lamour, Ph.D., CISSP, CISM, CCAI

Dr. Lamour, PhD, is an experienced Senior Professor skilled in network architecture, routing and switching, cloud computing, network security, e-learning, and instructional design. Lamour holds a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) ISACA certification, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification and is a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI).

Simon Obeid, Ph.D.

Professor and Faculty Chair Since 2012

Industry Experience: Networking Concepts, Circuit Design, and Management Information Systems
Location: Orlando, Florida

Simon Obeid, Ph.D., is a professor and National faculty chair at DeVry University, where he teaches courses in Tech core and management information systems. As a national faculty chair, he is responsible for managing and developing the faculty assigned to teach. Conducting program assessments and for development and maintaining curricula.

Michael Reitzel, Ph.D., J.D.

Professor of Business Since 2005

In roles as Executive V.P., V.P. of Strategic Development, and Chief Strategy Officer, Dr. Reitzel brings 15+ years of business, leadership, and management expertise to his courses. He holds J.D. and Ph.D. degrees.

 

Jocelyn Russell, Ph.D.

Dr. Jocelyn Russell Wallace is a full time Professor who has served as a Faculty Chair of the College of Business and Management at DeVry University and the Keller Graduate School of Management in Philadelphia, PA. Additionally, she served on the Board of Trustees at Princeton University, and on the Philadelphia Chapter Board of the American Marketing Association.

Genevieve Marie Isabelle Sapijaszko, Ph.D.

Professor Since 2000

Industry Experience: Electrical Engineering and Information Sciences

Dr. Sapijaszko, PhD, brings two decades of professional experience in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, computer programming, web development, networking, and physics. In addition to enhancing the student experience in the classroom, she has served as a mentor to FIRST robotics competitions, IEEExtreme competitions and MyWord (Women in STEM).

Shawn S. Smith, Ph.D.

Associate Professor Since 2018

Dr. Smith, PhD, brings over four decades of industry experience consulting with numerous firms across business, industry and government. His abilities span technology, management, leadership development and strategy.

Natalie Waksmanski-Krynski, Ph.D.

Professor Since 2017

Industry Experience:  Physics, Computer Programming, Electronics, Calculus, Algebra, and Statistics.
Location: Chicago, Illinois

Dr. Waksmanski is currently a Professor and Faculty Chair at DeVry University in the College of Engineering and Information Sciences where she teaches physics, computer programming, electronics, calculus, algebra, and statistics. Additionally, Dr. Waksmanski’s area of expertise in computational mechanics has been applied to multiple areas in STEAM where in addition to enhancing student experience in the classroom, she serves as a mentor to a FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team.
