DeVry's Advantage Academy

Preparing Our Youth to Thrive in a Modern Global Society

Founded in partnership with Chicago Public Schools in 2004, DeVry’s Advantage Academy is a dual-enrollment program for qualified 11th and 12th grade students offered at no cost. Advantage Academy students earn their high school diploma and an associate degree in either Network Systems Administration or Business from DeVry University at the same time.

When high school students come to Advantage Academy, they are immersed into a professional learning environment where they develop skills through challenging, engaging and relevant educational experiences. Students also begin developing learning habits that shape their college experience, putting them at an advantage with having the opportunity to earn an associate degree and develop strong learning habits before age 18.

U.S. News & World Report ranked DeVry University Advantage Academy Chicago 33rd in Illinois in their 2019 Best High Schools report, and Newsweek included the Chicago Advantage Academy in its Top STEM High Schools 2020 list.  When Chicago Public Schools (CPS) announced its 2019-2020 high school quality ratings, the Chicago Advantage Academy received its highest rating (Level 1+) for the sixth straight year based on a broad range of indicators that measured schools by students’ success, including student attendance, academic growth and college and career readiness.

In addition to Chicago, DeVry University Advantage Academy is also located in Decatur, Georgia.
