DeVry University and the Yellow Ribbon Program
What is the Yellow Ribbon Program?
The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, also known as the Post-9/11 GI Bill® or Chapter 33. The Yellow Ribbon Program allows DeVry University to enter into a voluntary agreement with the Department of Veterans Affairs to contribute funds to our veterans' unmet tuition and fee charges when their tuition and fees charges exceed the maximum amount payable under Chapter 33. The program allows DeVry University to contribute an amount up to 50 percent of veterans' unmet costs; the Department of Veterans Affairs will match the amount.
To Receive Benefits Under The Yellow Ribbon Program:
- You must be eligible for the maximum benefit rate under the Post-9/11 GI Bill®;
- You must not be on active duty or a spouse transferee of an active duty member
- Your school must agree to participate in the Yellow Program;
- Your school must have not offered Yellow Ribbon to more than the maximum number of individuals stated in their participation agreement;
- Your school must certify your enrollment to VA, including Yellow Ribbon program information.
For more information on the Yellow Ribbon Program, please visit the Department of Veterans Affairs.
NOTE: Students may participate in one DeVry-based scholarship or tuition benefit program only. Those who qualify for more than one program will be presumed to accept the program with the highest reduction in by-semester cost. Students who qualify for and prefer a different scholarship or tuition benefit program must confirm, in writing, the alternate program in which they wish to participate prior to starting classes at DeVry University.
