American Airlines Names DeVry University Partner of the Year

Naperville, Ill. – Dec. 16, 2021 – Naperville, Ill. – American Airlines named DeVry University its first-ever Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRG) External Partner of the Year. Committed to the professional development of all personnel, the airline established the DeVry University American Airlines Grant Program to offer one-time grants to eligible employees to further develop their skills. DeVry was awarded External Partner of the Year for its commitment to bringing leadership development and relevant tech skills education to American Airline’s workforce.   

“With the continued and ongoing changes brought on by technology, we are addressing the need for upskilling today’s workforce and we’re honored to partner with American Airlines to address their educational workforce needs,” said Clark Barber, vice president of DeVryWorks, the workforce solutions division of DeVry University. “American Airlines’ commitment to prioritizing career development and upskilling their workers is an important first step to preparing for the future of work.”

The DeVry University American Airlines Grant Program is designed to help make education more affordable to the airline’s employees and can be applied to new undergraduate and graduate certificate and degree programs at DeVry. As a recipient of the one-time grant, American Airlines’ students are eligible for partner education benefits, including tuition savings, a complimentary three-credit course, and extended benefits to their eligible dependents.
