Colleges and universities were grouped into eight categories: Private Research Universities; Liberal Arts Schools; Arts, Music & Design Schools; Business Schools; Engineering Schools; Ivy League Schools; Private Schools; and Public Schools and then cross-analyzed through PayScale's 40 million career profiles.

Eight additional DeVry University campuses were listed in the report, including Chicago (114th); Pomona, Calif. (125th); Federal Way, Wash. (132nd); Irving, Texas (141st); Phoenix (170th); Kansas City, Mo. (311th); Miramar, Fla. (492nd); and Decatur, Ga. (544th).
