DeVry University has announced the appointment of Candace Goodwin as president of the school’s Chicago campus. In her new role, Goodwin is responsible for leading the Chicago campus, as well as the Loop, O’Hare, Lincolnshire and Gurnee Centers. In addition, she Goodwin is responsible for the DeVry University Advantage Academy, a partnership with the Chicago Public School system.
A 23-year veteran of higher education, Goodwin has held numerous positions at other universities in both admissions and academics. Prior to joining DeVry University, Goodwin served as president of South University in Savannah, Ga.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to lead the Chicago campus and centers,” said Goodwin. “I look forward to working with the administration to make the DeVry University educational experience the absolute best for students, and to demonstrate the value of education.”
Goodwin is a native of Brookfield, Ill., earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and her MBA from DePaul University in Chicago.
