DeVry University announced today that it has been named the exclusive education provider to Pro Football Legends (the commercial marketing name of the NFL Alumni Association). As part of the agreement, DeVry University will provide higher education opportunities to Pro Football Legends members, spouses and dependents through 2017.
“Education is a key component of a successful post-football life for our members as well as their families,” said Joe Pisarcik, president and CEO of Pro Football Legends. “Many of our members had to put their education on hold to pursue pro football careers, and others have new interests and careers now that their football days are over. We are proud and excited to partner with DeVry University to enable our members and their families to advance or complete their education and achieve their educational and career goals.”
With more than 90 locations nationwide and a robust online learning environment, DeVry University offers former NFL athletes, cheerleaders, employees and their families access to career-oriented associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
“Education is of vital importance in our country today, and we look forward to helping Pro Football Legends members complete their degrees and pursue new careers after football,” said David J. Pauldine, president of DeVry University. “For more than 80 years, we have prided ourselves on the care and attention we give to our students, to ensure that they have the knowledge and real-world experiences to prepare them for career success. Our rigorous curriculum is constantly evolving, just like the business world. With the opportunity to take classes year-round, these former athletes and their families will be able to complete their degree and be prepared to enter into or advance in their careers more quickly. We look forward to counting Pro Football Legends members as alumni of DeVry University.”
