DeVry University has announced the appointment of Gerald Wargo as campus president of its Philadelphia Campus. Wargo previously served as the senior director of admissions for the DeVry University New Jersey metro.
Prior to joining DeVry University, Wargo taught health and physical education in in the Trenton Public School System in New Jersey. Wargo has served DeVry University in leadership capacities for more than 14 years and is widely known across the organization for his strong relational and student centric approach to management.
Wargo earned his bachelor’s degree in science and physical education from Trenton State College in New Jersey and a Master of Human Resource Management degree and Master of Business Administration degree from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management.
“I am honored to continue to contribute to the education industry in this expanded capacity with DeVry University,” said Wargo. “I look forward to continuing to help students obtain the education and skills they need to prepare for 21st century career success.”
In his new position, Wargo will be responsible for supporting DeVry University’s mission to foster student learning through high-quality, career-oriented education. DeVry University’s Philadelphia metro comprises three locations: the Philadelphia Campus, Fort Washington Campus, and King of Prussia Center.
