DeVry University has announced the appointment of John Stuart as president of its Dallas metro. Stuart was previously center dean of the DeVry University Fort Worth, Texas Campus.
Prior to joining DeVry University, Stuart functioned in a variety of leadership training capacities with Empower U Inc. He is a former U.S. Marine and served more than two decades in the military with his final years spent in the Montana Army National Guard as a recruiting and retention area team leader.
Stuart earned a bachelor’s degree in aviation management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill., and a master’s degree in education, counseling and development K-12 from Montana State University-Northern in Havre, Mont.
“After thirty years of career development spanning my military service to being part of DeVry University, I understand the personal dedication and sacrifice it takes for students like ours to further their education,” said Stuart. “I am honored to continue my journey with DeVry University and help our students reach their education and career goals."
In his new position, Stuart will be responsible for supporting DeVry University’s mission to foster student learning through high-quality, career-oriented education, integrating technology, business and management across the Dallas metropolitan area. DeVry University’s Dallas metro comprises three locations in Irving, Fort Worth and Richardson.
