DeVry University Announces New Ventura County California Location in Oxnard

OXNARD, Calif., May 16, 2011

DeVry University, one of North America’s largest degree-granting higher education institutions for business, technology, and management education, announced that it has begun recruiting for the university’s newest California center location in the Ventura County City of Oxnard, located at 300 E. Esplanade Drive. Classes at DeVry University Oxnard are expected to begin in July.

DeVry University Oxnard will offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs, with both onsite and online classes available. DeVry University will offer degree programs year-round at the Oxnard location, allowing students to earn a bachelor’s degree in as few as three years and an associate degree in as few as two years. DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management will also offer a number of master’s degree programs in business and technology. DeVry University is institutionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

DeVry University offers active career services that support students and graduates seeking positions in their fields of study.

DeVry University also announced it has appointed Christine Bosworth, Ed.D., as center dean for the new Oxnard location. Dr. Bosworth brings to DeVry more than 12 years of experience in traditional and online academics. Most recently, she served as school director at Professional Career Education in Los Angeles. Dr. Bosworth earned a doctorate degree in educational leadership from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University. As center dean for the new Oxnard location, she is responsible for launching and managing the new location, including enrollment, academics, marketing and operations.
