LYNNWOOD, Wash., June 01, 2011
DeVry University, one of North America's largest degree-granting higher education institutions for business, technology, and management education, announced that it has started accepting student applications for admission to the university's newest Washington center location in the south Snohomish County City of Lynnwood, located at 19020 33rd Ave. W. Classes at DeVry University Lynnwood are expected to begin in July.
DeVry University Lynnwood will offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs, with both onsite and online classes available. DeVry University will also offer degree programs year-round at the Lynnwood location, allowing students to complete their studies in less time than traditional four-year bachelor’s degree programs and two-year associate degree programs. DeVry University is institutionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
“DeVry University’s decision to open a center in Lynnwood is further testament to all that is available in Lynnwood for our residents, workers and the region,” said David Kleitsch, economic development director for the City of Lynnwood. “We look forward to both the educational and employment opportunities DeVry brings to its new home as well as the university’s role in preparing future generations for career success.”
DeVry University also announced it has appointed David Stewart, Ph.D., as center dean for the new Lynnwood location. Dr. Stewart has lived in Snohomish County for many years and leaves his previous position as DeVry University’s Seattle metro president to lead the new south Snohomish location.
