Jason Horne is the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at DeVry University, who leads the University’s strategic planning, innovation initiatives and transformative projects to further advance DeVry’s mission and impact.
Horne brings a proven track record of leadership, innovation and growth across education, technology, and workforce sectors. Most recently, he was Co-President at GSV Summit LLC , where he leveraged his deep expertise as an investor, advisor, and operator in the education technology sector to help shape the leading global events focused on innovation in education and workforce skills. At GSV Ventures, Horne led investor relations and fundraising while investing in the most dynamic entrepreneurs and companies in digital education and workforce development. The GSV Ventures portfolio includes Andela, Clever, ClassDojo, Coursera, Learneo, PhysicsWallah, Degreed, Guild, MasterClass, and Photomath, amongst others.
Previously, Horne was the Managing Director of GSV Advisors, LLC , an investment bank providing M&A advisory services in the education and talent technology sectors. In this role, he executed and advised on a wide range of transactions across the PreK–12, higher education, and enterprise learning landscape. Prior to that, he led Corporate Development for TES Global in London, then a TPG Capital-backed business. Earlier in his career, he was an analyst at Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC, as part of its investment banking and advisory services practice serving the middle-market.
Horne is a graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
