How does online college work?

Online classes offer you the flexibility to study at a time and place that works for you. Each 8-week class is taught in our online course platform by a professor who is experienced in their field of study and includes plenty of peer discussion. You’ll also have access to an array of student resources, such as 24/7 tutoring, an e-library, and career services.

In addition to our 100% online options, we also offer select courses on campus.4

Is DeVry a transfer-friendly school?

Yes! In fact, 2 out of 3 DeVry undergraduate students bring transfer credits with them.If you have transfer credits from a previous school, our admissions team can help you submit your transcripts for evaluation. Any qualifying credits may be applied toward your new program, potentially saving you time and tuition costs as you complete your degree.

How long does it take to earn a degree or certificate at DeVry?

The length of time it takes to earn your degree or certificate depends on several factors, such as the program you enroll in and any qualifying transfer credits you may have.

At DeVry, here’s the median time it takes our students to earn their degree or certificate:9

  • Undergraduate certificate: 1 year
  • Associate degree: 1.5 years
  • Bachelor’s degree: 2.7 years
  • Graduate certificate: 10 months
  • Master’s degree: 1.8 years

Do DeVry’s classes teach AI?

Yes. Our classes incorporate AI technologies to reflect the actual tools employers are using, so you can build skills that support career readiness in today’s rapidly evolving workplace.

In our AI in Industry (TECH112) class, for example, you’ll immerse yourself in essential terminology and platforms to build your understanding of the digital work environment, including artificial intelligence, virtual meetings, document management, cloud services, cyber security, collaboration tools, databases, and dashboards.
