President and Chief Executive Officer, DeVry University

Elise Awwad is president and CEO of DeVry University and considered one of the most innovative leaders in higher education. Known for breaking down barriers and leading cultural transformations, Awwad is passionate about the role education plays in supporting the career advancement of all learner populations. At DeVry, Awwad is committed to fulfilling the University’s mission, vision and values with internal and external stakeholders, as well as supporting and enhancing the institution’s academic mission and overall operations.

David Barnett

Chief Administrative Officer, DeVry University

Dave Barnett is the chief administrative officer for DeVry University. In this role, Barnett is focused on aligning DeVry leadership and talent to achieving the University’s most important work, while also helping its partners with talent strategies to do the same. He has responsibility for leading our DeVryWorks partnership strategy, while also driving the direction of Human Resources, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Public Relations, Communications and Alumni Relations efforts for the University.

Shantanu Bose, Ph.D.

Provost and Chief Academic Officer, DeVry University

Shantanu Bose, Ph.D., is the provost and chief academic officer for DeVry University. He is responsible for driving the academic vision and providing leadership for achieving the highest academic quality. He oversees all academic affairs including the areas of curriculum and instruction, faculty and academic operations, accreditation and academic policies, academic programs, course and instructional design, the Registrar, and other educational processes.

Veronica Calderon

Chief Inclusion, Belonging and Equity Officer

Veronica Calderon is the chief inclusion, belonging and diversity officer at DeVry University. Among her responsibilities, Calderon leads the implementation of the long-term vision and goals of diversity, equity and inclusion at the University, including building new diversity, equity and inclusion programs and training for students, faculty and colleagues. Calderon also oversees the employee resource groups (ERGs).

Chris Campbell

Chief Information Officer, DeVry University

Chris Campbell is the chief information officer for DeVry University, responsible for the continued development of an innovative and secure IT environment across the University.

F. Willis (Bill) Caruso Jr.

Chief Legal Officer, DeVry University

Bill Caruso is chief legal officer and secretary for DeVry University, with oversight of DeVry’s legal, public policy and government relations, internal audit, student financial services and regulatory affairs teams. With more than 30 years of experience practicing law, he has extensive expertise in supporting the legal needs of organizations in highly regulated industries.

Remberto Del Real

Chief Marketing Officer, DeVry University

Remberto Del Real is the chief marketing officer for DeVry University, responsible for branding, paid media, social media and strategic planning. He leads the development of all creative work that supports advertising and marketing programs, with oversight on direct marketing initiatives, print and collateral materials, special events and online activities.

Scarlett Howery

Vice President, Public Workforce Solutions

Scarlett Howery is the vice president of campus and University partnerships, providing strategic leadership for DeVry University’s 45+ campus operations. In this role, Howery drives community engagement and on-site student enrollment in each market, as well as forms local strategic partnerships to foster student learning and offer workforce solutions.

Richard Korczyk

Chief Experience Officer, DeVry University

Richard Korczyk is the chief experience officer of DeVry University. He is responsible for delivering on DeVry’s mission and commitment to student CARE throughout the learner experience. Korczyk focuses on evaluating the whole learner eco-system, keeping DeVry’s learners at the center and architecting experiences to improve both learner and institutional outcomes.

John Lorenz

Chief Financial Officer, DeVry University

John Lorenz is the chief financial officer for DeVry University, responsible for the overall finance function, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, payroll and other fiscal activities.

Agnam Memeti

Chief Enrollment and Student Support Officer, DeVry University

As chief enrollment and student support officer, Agnam Memeti has oversight of DeVry University’s admissions, student support and career advising functions.

Dana H. Born, Ph.D. is the faculty chair, Senior Executive Fellows (SEF) Program, faculty advisor for the Black Family Graduate Fellowship, and lecturer in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) of Government. She previously served as the co-director for the HKS’s Center for Public Leadership and faculty advisor for the National Security Fellows.

Krisztina "Z" Holly

Venture Partner at Good Growth Capital and former Vice Provost for Innovation at the University of Southern California

Krisztina “Z” Holly has three decades of experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, business strategy, higher education, and technological change. She scouts and invests in early-stage complex science and technology startups as a venture partner at Good Growth Capital. Also, through her firm At Large and Dangerous, she is a sought-after speaker, trusted advisor and board member for companies and organizations around the world.

Dennis J. Keller

Dennis J. Keller is co-founder and retired chairman and CEO of Adtalem Global Education Inc. (formerly DeVry Inc.). He is currently the chairman of TK Capital, LLC, a business he co-founded with his three sons, which owns and operates several manufacturing companies.

Jane Oates

Senior Policy Advisor, WorkingNation

Jane Oates is the Senior Policy Advisor and recent President of WorkingNation. She is a former U.S. Department of Labor official who has played a key role in WorkingNation’s mission to raise awareness about the challenges facing the American workforce. Previously, Oates served as Assistant Secretary for the Employment and Training Administration under Labor Secretary Hilda L. Solis after being nominated for the position by President Barack Obama in 2009. Prior to her appointment, Oates was Executive Director of the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education and a senior advisor to Governor Jon S. Corzine. She also served for nearly a decade as senior policy advisor for Senator Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts.
