Minnesota Adult Education Survey

DeVry University recently commissioned a survey regarding adult education in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Public Opinion Strategies (POS), a leading national opinion researcher, conducted the Internet survey of 500 adults in the region to assess how they view higher education and their own education and career prospects.

The survey found that Minneapolis workers overwhelmingly perceive higher education to be a key to career advancement and life satisfaction. A full 67 percent of survey respondents wish they had achieved a higher level of education, and 40 percent say they expect to attempt to achieve a higher educational degree over the next five years. Yet, just 6 percent are actually employed and working toward an advanced degree.
