Build on what you’ve learned about healthcare information systems by applying theory to practice through lab work. This course with lab covers both health information systems and technologies. You’ll also learn how these technologies operate across an organization.
Understanding data security and privacy may be critical to any role in the healthcare industry. Through this course, you’ll learn the processes that organizations put in to place to help protect patient data. You’ll also learn how to access and disclose such health information and explore the laws that surround access to confidential patient information.
While understanding patient privacy and health rights and responsibilities is helpful for a role in healthcare management, so is foundational knowledge in financial management. You’ll learn about accounting systems as applicable to the field of healthcare, reimbursement methods, finance and resource management and more.
