Elizabeth Allison Thurman has a passion for uncovering and evaluating market-changing solutions to address the unique challenges to the future of work. She consults with DeVry University’s partners to create sustainable value and deliver extraordinary business results through their workforce by developing talent activation solutions to upskill human capital. 

With over 14 years of experience in the learning and development, higher education, and human resources industries, Elizabeth has a successful history consulting on growth initiatives, innovating products, programs, and services, as well as leading and coaching diverse, cross-functional teams. Leveraging adult learning theory, experiential learning models, and DeVry University resources, she assesses talent gaps and crafts solutions to best support board-visible objectives. For the last nine years at DeVry University, she has held roles in Career Services, campus leadership, Product Development, Academics, and B2B consulting, receiving two international awards for talent program design. 

Elizabeth holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Dominican University of California, where she also studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. She also earned an MBA from Syracuse University with an emphasis in Marketing Management. Elizabeth is also a Gallup CliftonStrengths Certified Coach. 

With a strong personal mission to elevate underrepresented talent and women in the workforce, Elizabeth maintains a private career coaching practice and serves as Executive Leadership Chair of EDGE, DeVry’s women in leadership affinity group.
