Several faculty member and students from DeVry University' s Arlington, Virginia campus and the Keller Graduate School of Management were recently invited to attend a technology forum sponsored by Newsweek. The panel discussion, entitled, "Wireless and Well-Prepared: The E-mergence of Technology in the Classroom," was held at the National Press Club in Washington. Featured panelists included Walter Bender, President of Software and Content at the One Laptop per Child Foundation, Mary Cullinane, Director of U.S. Partners in Learning at Microsoft Corporation, David Thornburg, Ph.D., the Director of Global Operations at the Thornburg Center, and the Honorable Amy Klobuchar, a United States Senator and member of the Senate Subcommittee on Science, Technology and Innovation. Steven Levy, Newsweek's Senior Technology Editor, hosted the event.
The dialogue focused on the emerging trends of technology in the classroom, and guests from DeVry University and the Keller Graduate School of Management were invited to attend a reception with the panelists following the forum.
