Answers:

1. How does DeVry University notify my student loan lender that I am enrolled as a graduate student?
  • DeVry University participates in the National Student Loan Clearinghouse (NSLC). For more information about the NSLC, view their website: http://www.nslc.com/
  • Enrollment status is reported to the NSLC on a session-by-session basis. Every session within a semester, student enrollment data is transmitted automatically and electronically to the NSLC on the following schedule:
    • Tuesday, Week 3
    • Monday, Week 6
    • Monday, Week 2 (subsequent session, for previous session)

2. How does the NSLC notify my lenders of my enrollment?
  • Within a week after the NSLC receives DeVry University student enrollment data, the NSLC automatically transmits student enrollment data to student loan lenders.

PLEASE NOTE: There is typically a delay (1 — 4 weeks, depending on lender) between the time that the NSLC transmits student enrollment data to a lender and when the lender updates a student account.

  • No.

5. What do I do if my lender does not provide - or if I have lost - my in school deferment form?
  • You can use the generic form available from Educaid at the following website: http://www.educaid.com/forms/sch.pdf
    • Complete Section 1, Borrower Information
    • Complete Section 7, Lender information.
      This section MUST include the NAME of the lender and the LENDER's ADDRESS.

Please note: If you do not provide the name and address of your lender or loan servicer, the in school deferment form will be returned to you.


6.What do I do if my student loan lender does not participate in the NSLC?

Submit a completed in school deferment form to the Registrar's Office, Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University.

7. What can I do if my student loan lender states, "the school has not forwarded your enrollment status?"
  • If you ever have any problem with a lender, you always have the option of contacting the National Student Loan Clearinghouse at 703-742-7791 (ask to speak to a Student Service Representative). They are there to help you with your lenders.
