Bridging the Tech Skills Gap

With the world becoming increasingly reliant on technology, the demand for skilled professionals in the tech sector has reached an all-time high. However, a significant disparity exists in access to education and opportunities, particularly for underrepresented communities. DeVry University aims to address this critical issue head-on by providing a clear path for individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive in the tech industry.

In partnership with DeVry, your organization will play a pivotal role in fostering a diverse and inclusive tech community. Embracing diverse perspectives and backgrounds encourages creative problem-solving, drives innovation, and empowers your company to thrive in an ever-changing market. Your organization can access a well-rounded talent pool, educated in advanced technologies, and primed to make an immediate impact on your culture and bottom line.

We have created strategic alliances with key partners, one of which is the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA). This organization is committed to the vision of developing roles in the tech industry and will provide strategic guidance, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and advocate for the program's expansion. Together our experience, resources, and networks will make fill roles in the tech and cybersecurity fields a resounding success.

Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) and DeVry will be launching a course that champions the Diversity Way-Maker™ framework. This distinct education opportunity supports leaders in acquiring and applying DEI traits, characteristics, and performance-based competencies focused on integrating diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) into every aspect of business operations. Diversity Way-Maker takes a self- awareness-centered approach with collective mindfulness integrations. Through a self-reconciliation of beliefs and personal core-values process, this course guides learners to better understand how personal values, physical, mental, and emotional aspects affect our being in ways that fuels DEI progress.

This initiative is not just about developing talent; it's about transforming lives and driving societal change. By providing access to quality tech education and meaningful career opportunities, the program can empower participants to break barriers, overcome systemic inequities, and contribute to the innovation economy. Ultimately, this initiative can create a more diverse, inclusive, and resilient tech industry that reflects the richness and talent of our society.

Your organization can be a catalyst for positive change and join us in our vision to make a lasting impact beyond the bottom line. Partnering with DeVry can help showcase your organization's commitment to making a difference. By providing opportunities for underrepresented communities and leveling the playing field, your company can become a driving force in creating a more equitable and inclusive tech industry.
