Age Requirements
You must be at least 17 years old when the first semester begins. However, you may begin the application process up to one year in advance of your planned starting date.
Academic Requirements
High School/Secondary School Documentation. You must submit a certified copy of the primary documents used in your country that demonstrates completion of secondary studies. This may include:
- Transcripts that show all courses taken, grades received and graduation date
- A certificate of national examination results
A certified copy is an original document or attested (signed with an official stamp or seal) photocopy that has been issued by the educational institution or government agency responsible for issuing the document. An official English translation must accompany the document.
If you have not yet completed the last year of secondary school, you may still apply. Submit an official transcript showing the courses you have completed, and a letter in English from your school stating your current student status and expected date of high school/secondary school completion. You will be required to provide proof of completion.
Standard/Testing Information. In addition to providing high school transcripts, international students who have not had math in the last two years of High School are advised to take SAT or ACT examinations. Students must provide proof of math ability and without math grades, the SAT or ACT would provide that proof.
DeVry does not administer placement examinations beyond the boundaries of North America. International applicants residing outside Canada and the United States who must be accepted prior to entering the country must submit ACT/SAT scores or transcripts indicating prior college coursework deemed appropriate for standard placement into the intended program.
Transfer Credits. An applicant wishing to transfer credit from another postsecondary institution must request a credit evaluation prior to the first semester at DeVry. Applicants must also provide an official transcript and catalogue from the institution where the credit was earned. Individual DeVry campuses may request additional support material or a credit evaluation by an approved external evaluation service if credits were earned at a foreign institution.
