DVU Celebrates the Accomplishments of its Team USA Student Athletes at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games

DeVry University congratulates the nine student athletes on Team USA for their outstanding performances at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. These U.S. Olympians also continuing their education at DeVry University or its Keller School of Management or are recent graduates.

The Team DeVry student athletes who competed include:


· Adeline Gray - Technical Management (2016 grad) - Quarterfinals in women’s wrestling

· Kathryn Johnson - Business Administration - 5th in women’s rugby

Keller Graduate School of Management

· Lauren Crandall - MBA (2015 grad) - 5th in women’s field hockey    

· Victoria Folayan - MBA - 5th in women’s rugby

· Kelly Griffin - MBA - 5th in women’s rugby

· Jessica Javelet - MBA - 5th in women’s rugby

· Chaunte Lowe - Accounting & Financial Management - 4th in women’s high jump

· Jillion Potter - MBA - 5th in women’s rugby

· Kara Winger - MBA - 13th in women’s javelin throw

“On behalf of all of us at DeVry University, I congratulate our Team DeVry athletes for proudly representing our country and our school at this year’s Olympic Games,” said Robert Paul, president of DeVry University. “They are an inspiration for our students, alumni, faculty and colleagues with all they have and continue to accomplish. It is an honor to support the athletes on Team USA as they pursue their athletic and career goals.”

DeVry University is an official education provider of the United States Olympic Committee. There are 125 Team USA student-athletes currently enrolled at DeVry University and its Keller Graduate School of Management; to date, more than 50 have graduated.
