Bachelor’s Degree Specialization in Database Management

Help Keep Database Management Accessible and Secure

DeVry University’s online and hybrid Database Management Specialization is designed to help you understand the principles, tools and techniques of all things related to database management. Our Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems with a Specialization in Database Management program is founded in real-world applications and techniques. Students can uncover all aspects of database creation and management — from planning to troubleshooting — as well as experience the real-world application of database management in any number of fields. Our program is anchored in our Tech Core curriculum, a specially designed set of hands-on learning experiences that prepares you for today’s Internet of Things (IoT) economy.

Get To Know Our Database Management Specialization

Our Bachelor’s Degree Program in Computer Information Systems with a specialization in Database Management will help you understand the protocols and techniques necessary to develop and maintain a database management system. Databases store some of our most important information, such as financial transactions, health records and legal information. Database administrators help to design, create, test and manage these data storage systems.

Since security is often a primary concern in relation to databases, our knowledgeable faculty will teach you how to balance access and protection. In order to do this, you'll learn basic defensive measures and cyber security. You’ll also learn about how different databases work from the perspective of performance, availability and cost and how a variety of databases can be managed together.

Classes Start Every 8 Weeks
